FREE Swimming Pool Entry For The Whole Family During February!

A family trip to a swimming pool is becoming a bit of a Saturday morning habit in our household. We’re keen to get our 3yo confident and having fun with us in the water as much as we can before he starts his first ever structured lessons this term. However tempting it is to let my husband take him while I stay home and get on with stuff (or get distracted and have a coffee), I often find myself tagging along too which means we can take it turns and both enjoy a swim.

In pursuit of the perfect family-friendly pool (not too busy, not too cold, easy to get to – you get the picture!), we’ve ticked a fair few, but certainly not all, of Sydney’s swimming pools off our list. So I was excited to hear about the chance to try out some more Sydney pools for FREE during the month of February.

City of Sydney is hosting a series of free open days on Saturday mornings during February so you can explore everything their centres have on offer.  As well as free swimming, the venues will be offering some special events and activities including aquatic inflatables, barbecues, face painting and more!

See below for details of dates and times of the FREE Swimming Pool Open Days:

 

• Prince Alfred Park Pool: Saturday 6 February, 9am-midday

• Victoria Park Pool: Saturday 13 February, 9am-midday

• Cook + Philip Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre: Saturday 20 February, 8am-1pm

• Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre: Saturday 27 February, 8am-1pm
