Where to Find a Street Library in Your Suburb
- All Ages

By Stacey Roberts, ellaslist
Mini public lending libraries, or 'street libraries' are a fun way to share a love of reading with your neighbourhood.
Accessible from the street, and available to everyone (take a book and leave a book!), it fosters a friendly sense of community while also contributing to an easy way to get more books in your life.
A worldwide phenomenon, it's no wonder tiny libraries are popping up all over Melbourne - in streets, in front yards, at schools and in parks across the city. Maybe you'd like to create one yourself for your area? If so, you can follow the instructions from StreetLibrary.org here. If you're more of a reader, we've found a few around the city - which one is your local?
