Top Easter Egg Hunts for Kids In Sydney 2018

Take your pick from loads of egg-cellent Easter Egg Hunts happening all across Sydney and beyond over the Easter long weekend! Kids will love the thrill of finding chocolate treats at these fun locations. Tell them to keep their eyes peeled for the the Easter Bunny! Truly traditional (and delicious!) fun.

The Great Centennial Park Easter Egg Hunt 

The Easter Bunny and Bilby are returning to Centennial Parklands this Easter! Follow a trail map around the park to complete challenges on this super fun Easter quest, and be rewarded with chocolate! It takes about 30-45 minutes to complete this self-led expedition, and it was a sell-out last year so make sure you book tickets! The emphasis of this event is getting children outside and active whilst engaging in good old-fashioned fun, including an egg-and-spoon race. There will be a family photo opportunity at the end with the Easter Bunny and Easter Bilby, so bring your camera! All the details here.

Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel Aqua Egg Hunt & Daily Hunts

Celebrate the Easter long weekend by the bay! They’ve got a jam-packed schedule with activities to keep families of all ages entertained. The Watsons Bay Hotel will be putting on face painting, crafts, hot cross bun making and 1pm-daily Easter egg hunts at Robertson Park over the long weekend…maybe with an extra special visit from the Easter Bunny himself, as well as chocolate surprises for everyone! Their annual Aqua egg hunt will take place at 12pm on Easter Sunday at Watson's Bay Beach - so don’t forget your snorkels and swimmers! If you're here on Good Friday, there'll be free Easter-inspired Pancake Parlour for the kids between 10am and 1pm, so rock up in the morning for a pre-hunt feed.

The Great Garden Egg Hunt, The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney

The Easter Bunny is hopping to The Royal Botanic Garden! Children (recommended for ages 3-8) use a trail map to complete fun challenges, collect chocolate eggs and hunt for their furry Easter friends. Bring the children along to get outside and active whilst engaging in good old-fashioned fun of the egg-and-spoon race and egg hunt. There will be a family photo opportunity at the end with the Easter Bunny so bring your camera! Come and join in the festivities and enjoy some good old-fashioned Easter-time fun! The Great Tramsheds Easter Hunt

Tramsheds will be hosting their first ever Easter hunt with 100 ceramic bunnies scattered throughout the centre over the Easter long weekend, ten of which will be special pink bunnies that will each hold unique tokens inside their bellies. Kids can play on their own or families can play in a team, collecting their hunting basket from the Tramsheds Easter hunt stand before starting their search. Once all ten tokens have been collected, kids can claim their delicious Easter prize from the Tramsheds Easter hunt stand. While you're there make sure you check out Messina's Yolk's On Us - they have created three new gooey yolked gelato ‘creme eggs’ as a take on the childhood classic. Because Easter isn't just for kids!

The Great Australian Botanic Gardens Egg Hunt

This is the biggest egg hunt Western Sydney has ever seen! Kids (aged 3-8 years) will use trail maps to collect hidden eggs (which will be exchanged for chocolate eggs afterwards), complete fun challenges out in nature, and find their giant furry easter bunny friend! Look out for the Easter Bunny after, who will be more than happy to have some photos with your little one. Easter Egg Hunt Through Seven Hills Plaza 

This FREE egg hunt will have Easter eggs scattered at participating retailers at Seven Hills Plaza.  Register your details at the Customer Service Desk located at Centre Court between 10am and 3pm on the dates below. Here the kids can grab their hunt packs and hop to it! If you're here on a Saturday, make sure to check out the Fresh Food Markets for some Easter goodies, open on Saturdays 17 and 24 March from 11am till 2pm.

Egg-Cellent Easter Trails At Elizabeth Farm & Vaucluse House

The Sydney Living Museums Elizabeth Farm and Vaucluse House are each hosting an Easter-inspired kids trail for children 4+. To claim your choccie treat, try your hand at traditional Easter activities from egg rolling to egg hunting and a cheeky real baby chick hunt (not for eating!) Venture through the house or around the gardens, then head outside to meet the Kindi Farm's feathered friends and visit the kitchen garden – an Easter bunny’s heaven! After the trail, head to the tearooms, or spread out on the lawn and enjoy a home-packed picnic. Tickets are selling fast, so make sure to book an allocated time-slot ASAP! All the details here.
