The whole family will get into the Christmas spirit with these fabulous Christmas events full of carols, market stalls, live entertainment...and the odd visit from Mr Claus all the way from the North Pole!

There's no better way to spend the festive season than by soaking up an incredible atmosphere with family and friends, knowing the kids are well entertained.

1. Christmas In The Sky

Jingle all the way to Sydney Tower Eye this Christmas and experience the magic of the North Pole in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. From 1 December – 23 December, the Observation Deck at the Sydney Tower Eye will be transformed into Santa’s Highest Grotto – a Christmas wonderland 250 metres above street level. Children (and parents!) are invited to share their Christmas wishes with Santa as they’re transported to his festive grotto complete with a fireplace, music and a Christmas tree.

2. Christmas Wonderland Sydney Showground

Christmas Wonderland Sydney Showground presents Sydneysiders with a Christmas extravaganza not to be missed. Experience the enchantment of a white Christmas with an ice skating rink, snow play area where you can build a snowman or have a snowball fight, enjoy a magical stage show and ice show, and explore the Christmas village and marvel in Candy Cane Lane. 

3. Christmas Lights Spectacular

Christmas Lights Spectacular are celebrating an impressive 10 years of spreading the Christmas spirit and joy to children of all ages. To mark this momentous occasion, Hunter Valley Gardens invites you to explore the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest and most breathtaking display of over 2 million lights. The entire family will be able to enjoy the festive season with a delicious selection of food and beverage stalls, roaming entertainment including carollers (until Boxing Day), carnival rides, and nightly performances by much-loved children’s music group Little Scallywagz.

 

4. Carols In The Domain

Sing with the stars at Australia's largest FREE Christmas concert: Carols in the Domain! At this much-loved annual event, you can expect performances from a variety of artists that will delight families of all ages. 

5. Sydney Fish Markets 36-Hour Seafood Marathon

Sydney Fish Market's 36-Hour Seafood Marathon, where retailers will be staying open for 36 hours from 5am Wednesday 23 December right through to 5pm Christmas Eve. 
Visitors can come down to enjoy the fun and frenzy of the marathon, stock up on Christmas supplies, enjoy some delicious fresh or cooked seafood, or just sit back and people-watch from the waterside boardwalk.
