Winter is definitely on its way, which means it is the perfect time to enjoy a warm, Sunday roast. Crispy potatoes, creamy gravy, chicken so tender it is practically falling apart...are you salivating? Here are Sydney's best go-to spots for a hearty meal with all the trimmings. 

1. Four In Hand, Paddington

Their Sunday $24 all-day roasts created by head chef Guillaume Brahimi are simply divine. Their roasts rotate between lamb, chicken and even pork belly, with seasonal sides such as potatoes, carrots and pumpkin, always served in generous portions. Visit their website.

2. Hotel Centennial, Woollahra

It's a tad exxy at $35 per plate, but this is one gourmet meat-of-the-day roast, available for lunch and dinner on Sundays. In fact, the entire menu is gourmet and incredible- slow cooked lamb shoulder and fish drizzled in burnt butter make for the perfect accompaniments to your next child-free date night. 3. Woolwich Pier Hotel, Woolwich

Woolwich Pier have a special Sunday menu with two choices for a delicious roast lunch or dinner: pork belly and crackling with roasties, pumpkin mash, apple puree, yorkies and gravy or Riverine saddle of lamb with roasties, pumpkin mash, yorkies, mint jelly and gravy. Each roast is $30 per plate and begins at 12pm until sold out! Visit their website. 

4. The Tilbury Hotel, Wolloomoollo

At the Tilbury, their Sunday roasts are not a well-kept secret- so book early to avoid disappointment! They have different kinds of roasts available week to week which has been known to include spit roast pig with all the trimmings, braised lamb shoulder with mint sauce, cauliflower cheese and roast potatoes, and pork loin with apple sauce, crackling and all the trimmings. 5. The Local Taphouse, Darlinghurst

Their famous Sunday roast begins at 12pm until 6pm or until sold out- so we recommend heading there for lunch if you don't want to be disappointed! For $25 per plate, diners have two options for their roast: roast beef with roast potatoes, honey roasted carrots, steamed broccoli, gravy, and a large Yorkshire pudding, or crisp pork belly with all the trimmings. 6. The Bucket List, Bondi Beach

Enjoy gorgeous water views and the smell of the salty ocean as your devour a $25 Sunday roast with all the trimmings. The roast is known to change up from week to week- in the past they have served Roast Bannockburn Chicken with Yorkshire pudding, potato gratin, broccolini, red wine gravy, Roast Bindaree beef rump with Yorkshire pudding, Norm & Robyn's roast potatoes, glazed carrots and red wine sauce, and even Roast Borrowdale porchetta with its crackling, garlic potatoes, roman beans, tomato and red wine sauce.
