One of the toughest parts of planning a child’s birthday celebration can be finding a venue with a great theme, relevant to your child’s interests and age. There are many entertainment outlets in Melbourne that facilitate children’s parties, but if it’s a specific theme you are after, one of these six outstanding venues could be just the ticket.
ARTea Birthday Party Venue

Collingwood Children’s Farm
Is your child crazy about animals? Then look no further. Collingwood Children’s Farm is famous in Melbourne for being the venue for animal and farm-themed children’s parties.
The farm itself offers an unforgettable location for kids with plenty of outdoor activities and opportunities to get up close to the adorable fury, fluffy and feathery friends on the farm – there is even cow milking!
Hosted parties include tractor rides, animal feeding, and some fabulous, wholesome food served up direct from the Farm Café.

Little Devil’s Circus
For trapezes, tight wires, hula hoops, trampolines and all other things circus, Little Devil’s Circus is as good as it gets. Party Packages are held in custom circus studios and include loads of physical activities geared towards kids between the ages of five to 13 years of age.
Birthday parties are completely private at Little Devil’s Circus; you get the whole place to yourself. Kids are treated to 90 minutes of big-time circus fun, including an hour of circus stunts and play, with 30 minutes is allocated to snacks, drinks and birthday cake.

Fairy Wings and Wishes
Fairy Wings and Wishes is an entertainment venue that just oozes magic and fantasy. For little fairy-crazed kids with big imaginations, this is your ultimate party venue.
There are three decorated party rooms available at Fairy Wings and Wishes, ‘Mermaid’, ‘Princess’ or ‘Wizard’. The party kicks off in these themed rooms with games, face painting and loads of activities.
Kids then make their way to ‘The Room in the Clouds’ where they are treated to a feast fit for a king. The party winds up in ‘The Magical Castle’ room where every child is farewelled with a cupcake.

Got a budding chef in your midst? Well, Gourmet Kids is a unique cooking party venue that is becoming very popular among the little foodies of Melbourne.
A basic party package at Gourmet Kids includes cooking invitations, food and drinks, party host, party games AND your choice of what you would like to cook on the day.
The cooking component of the party is organised according to age. Children aged two to five years have the option of cooking such delicious goodies as chocolate brownies, lollipops, happy faces and other fun creations for tots. The Party Room for Kids is the place for a birthday celebration that wows! These are no ordinary themed party rooms, at The Party Room for Kids you even get – wait for it – special effects!
All parties are 90 minutes long at The Party Room for Kids, and themes include Cinderella, Dinisaur Jungle, Snow Queen, Disco, Mermaid, Superheros, Fairy Princess, Pirates, Minecraft, Vampire and Construction. That’s quite a list!
Parties include a magic show or disco, and loads of party games and activities like karaoke and dance games.

Melbourne Aquarium SEA LIFE
For an aquatic-themed party, you really can’t beat Melbourne’s spectacular SEA LIFE aquarium.
A minimum of 12 kids are required for each party at SEA LIFE and one adult for every six kids is required to attend as a minder.
Parties are 90 minutes long and include two hosts with a private, aquatic party room, party food, invitations, specially selected aquatic-themed activities, and a guided tour of ‘Mermaid Garden’ and ‘Croc Lair’. The party package also includes a full day’s admission to the aquarium, so kids can hang around long after the party has wound up.
