Playtime At Ultimate Sydney - The Awesome New Indoor Play Centre That Has It All

If you’re anything like me, you may have a list of indoor play areas at the ready for those long rainy days, school holidays or birthday party venues. After our visit to Ultimate Sydney, I highly recommend you add this new entertainment venue to your list!
Ultimate Sydney is located in Northmead, and has been open since January. The huge 2500m2 site includes multiple play areas, trampolines, party rooms and a café.
Designed by two local mums, Ultimate Sydney aims to cater for all age groups and abilities. A visit to Ultimate would be ideal if you are looking for a family activity that will appeal to everyone.
What The Older Kids Loved
My eldest explored the soft-play area for a while when we first arrived. The area is enormous with a large slide, a series of smaller slides and mazes. This area provides heaps of space for over 5’s to explore and climb.
We then made our way over to the trampoline area and checked out the trampolines with basketball lanes and the rock-climbing wall. The highlight for both our school-aged child and our preschooler was the foam pit. They spent a long time perfecting their jumps and twirls from the trampolines into the foam pit. Even Dad had a go! Older kids will also enjoy the dodgem cars, which can be utilised for an extra cost. Ultimate has plenty to keep school aged kids occupied for hours.
Perfect For Under 5’s
A dedicated soft-play area is available for children under 5. It was great to have a separate, fenced area for young children that is much larger than most play centres.
My preschooler loved the trampoline in this section (away from the bigger kids), and enjoyed climbing and exploring the maze area. Children over 2 would probably get the most out of this area, but there is also space on the floor for younger toddlers to explore and play.
Kid Friendly Café
Now to the most important part. Coffee! The café provides a variety of food and drinks. You can sit at the tables near the café or on the couches near the play area and enjoy a tea or coffee while the kids play.
Birthday Parties
During our visit a number of kids were enjoying a birthday party. A large number of different party packages and 5 party rooms provide lots of choice for parties and events.
Ultimate Sydney would be a great venue for a party if you need to cater to a wide age group of kids. Further information about the party packages.
Top Tips
- There is plenty of parking available in the car park.
- Kids need to be wearing grip socks to use the equipment. You can purchase socks at the venue for $2.50.
- Entry costs vary for one hour and two hour sessions, or an all day cost. Check the pricing information on the website. There is no charge for accompanying adults.
- Family passes and multiple visit passes are a good value way to make the most of the centre.
- Bookings are recommended during busy periods, but walk-ins are welcomed. You may like to book ahead to guarantee entry at the time you are after.
- Allow enough time before your session time to fill in the waiver form.
