Here❜s Where to Get Your Skates On at Melbourne❜s Pop-Up Ice Rinks this Winter

    Family

While visions of sugarplums dance in your head, you too can experience the magic of a snowy wonderland this winter with a couple of fun outdoor ice skating rinks popping up across Melbourne.

June and July usually see these frosty spots appear in the city, and this year you'll find them everywhere from Southbank's Crown Riverwalk, to St Kilda, and even Sorrento.

The Skating At festival is again behind quite a few of these, and bring with them fun food, drinks and entertainment for a great family day out. You can follow them on Facebook to find which local stallholders will be at The Winter Market in each location, bringing good cheer and good food every evening.

Be sure to bring an extra pair of socks with you to the ice rink. The extra pair of socks should be a bit thicker than your normal socks as they will give you more hold and padding inside your ice skates. A pair of knee high ski socks would be perfect. The pop-ups are only in town for a limited time, so don't miss out!
