ellaslist loves Lucy Scott’s Doodle Diary of a New Mum. 

Lucy’s illustrations capture her, and so many other new mummies journey’s through first time parenting- both the terrifying incidents and unforgettable moments.

After the birth of her first child, daughter Lois, the Scottish author and illustrator was inspired to chronicle the struggles, laughs and realities of being a parent. Lucy calls her drawings a “lifeline” for mums to other mums, that through them, they will feel a sense of connection- a knowing that there are other mothers out there going through the exact same struggles and sweet joys.

Whether your breastfeeding, have finally got your 6 month old down for a nap or have  a few spare moments between nappy changes, her pictures are sure to bring a giggle and smile to your day. Check out our favourites:
