This Mount Waverley music studio is the home of Suzuki method teachings that focus on piano and flute. Kathryn Bond was introduced to the much-debated Suzuki method of music tuition as a 6-year old. Her credentials are impressive, with connections to some of Melbourne’s best schools. In the beginning, there’s simply rhythm. This is early childhood music education aimed at babies – pre-schoolers.

The format is weekly classes, and with several dozen locations to choose from across Melbourne, there really is one near you! The Rhythm Tree

This is a family-friendly music class aimed at babies and toddlers and pre-school kids who want to experience their taste for all things tuneful in an environment that is nurturing and inclusive – without the pressure of performance-oriented outcomes.

So far, there are classes in a handful of locations, including Doncaster, Port Melbourne, Newport, Abbotsford Convent and East Brunswick. The weekly classes are a term-long commitment that works through a structured program (although the feeling is very much unstructured freedom to express yourself).
