Yes, we all know kids and cafes don’t mix well together. Just as your food arrives or you start to sip on your coffee, your little angel decides to throw a tantrum or scampers away to a neighbouring table pulling their spoons and forks down. 

Finding a family friendly cafe where the kiddies can be kept busy can be tricky but worry no more! Here's our list of the top kid-friendly cafes in the Geelong region. Relax, dine and play!

Bear and Bean 

Imagine a café specially designed to cater for families. The entrance doors are double to allow ease of access for prams and kids in tow. All steps have been (thankfully) removed to minimize any falls and spills. The café provides a change table, multiple high chairs and a giant black board for kids to doodle over while mum and dad enjoy a delicious meal

Launch Espresso & Kitchen 

Not only is this café located inside one of the most popular shopping centres in Geelong, it's also next to an indoor playground. Seems too good to be true, doesn’t it? Take a break from all that shopping by grabbing a coffee on The Bridge and let the kids entertain themselves in the play area under safe supervision. The café also has an impressive food selection. We hear the burgers are simply delicious with a kiddie version as well.

Groove Train 

This café is also located inside Westfield Geelong. Although it’s a bit far from the indoor playground, it is the perfect venue for Mums and Bubs meet ups. With plenty of open space for strollers and prams, large groups can be easily accommodated especially earlier in the day. Plus, kids also eat free with any main meal purchased from Monday to Thursday.

Café Botticelli 

These people get families because they’re themselves a young family passionate about good food and having fun. The modern funky colorful layout of the café is a hit with the locals. The café has a dedicated outdoor play area called Jabi’s Garden with a play set suitable for toddlers to young kids. There’s plenty of outdoor covered seating as well around the play area so mum and dad can enjoy their food while keeping an eye on the little ones.

Little Creatures Brewery 

You may get an odd look or two if you suggest taking the kids along to this brewery. But the Little Creatures Brewery is suitable for the entire family. With an enclosed sandpit, lots and lots of open space and an easy going vide, the kids are well taken care of, leaving you to enjoy the wide variety of food and drinks on the menu.

Café Moby 

The backyard at Moby’s is a super cool haven for kids and for the parents as well. Colorful wooden picnic table seating in the courtyard offers a relaxing sun-drenched (on good days) environment. There is a large play area with slides and rock walls to keep the little ones entertained while the parents enjoy a little café outing. The café is famous for its wood fired pizzas and brekkie with waffles on the menu as a treat for little ones.
